Poetry is my escape

it's where I go when I can't speak

I write

It helps me to download

My most inner thoughts and perceptions

 

 

 

I exhale after I write a poem

Then I know my train of thought is complete

 

 They are Not about me

I love playing with the many situations that go on with others

Relationships, love, hurt, pain, lust, erotic, spiritual.

 

 

 

There is no order to my thoughts

 

They are what they are

They come out

How they come out

 

No force, So that's how I know its my gift

 

Been that way since 12 ....................................................

I'm still living

Broken down , constant tears
Broken but I'm still here
My days are capture
Trying to hold back my tears
I'm broken but I'm still here looking for love in too many places
Smiling and embraced by a lot of faces
Outside appearances joy is revealed
inside the heart pain sits still
For so long, I've carried the weight of others on my shoulders
Self sacrifice my own happiness
Trying to lift up others
Who comes to my rescue
Who is there to lift my spirits
I seek a help that is much higher
One who loves me like no other
He carries my worries, my trials, my pain
He shelters me from the rain
He promises me peace, safety, and a true love
A relationship that will never dissolve

My heart belongs to God

Overcoming

Overcoming

Been through the fire and rain

Back against the wall

Head should be down

but it is held high

Victories not yet accomplished

Yet the drive toward

Expectancy is acknowledged

The mask is removed 

 motivation ,  endurance, and persistence shown

Smaller acts add to a bigger & larger goal

Moving through determination

Overcoming obstacles with a smile

Hope and faith is hanging in the background for support

Uplifted is found through encouragement

I'm in the race , advancing

I can do
 I try said the child
I work hard, I learn
I do all I can, I listen
Look at the progress I've made
I will do good you see
If you could just take the time
To believe in me
